Aim Higher Foundation

The Aim Higher Foundation provides tuition assistance scholarships for families enrolling their children in Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. This is a private scholarship program, not a state-funded program.

Program Type: Private tuition assistance scholarship (not an ESA or state program)

Scholarship Amount: $1,000 per year per student

Who It Serves: K-8 students in Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis

Renewal: Scholarships renew annually through 8th grade as long as demonstrated financial need continues

Portability: Scholarship follows the student if transferring to another eligible Catholic school in the archdiocese

Eligibility Requirements:

• Student must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a K-8 Catholic school within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis
• Demonstrated financial need (assessed via TADS financial aid application)
• Families may apply for multiple scholarship types simultaneously (Aim Higher Scholarship, CSA/Aim Higher Scholarship)

Application Timeline:

• Primary Cycle: November 1, 2025 – February 27, 2026
• Summer Cycle: May 31 – August 24, 2026
• Apply through TADS online application

How to Apply:

1. Create an account on TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) online platform
2. Complete financial aid application including income documentation
3. Submit application during primary or summer cycle
4. Aim Higher Foundation reviews applications and awards scholarships based on demonstrated need

Impact Since 2012:

• Over 16,000 scholarships awarded
• More than $15 million in total scholarship funding

Can Combine With:

• K-12 Education Deduction: Yes – use deduction for tuition expenses not covered by scholarship
• Other private school financial aid: Yes – can combine with school-based financial aid
• K-12 Education Credit: No – Education Credit does not cover private school tuition
