Idaho Advanced Opportunities
Advanced Opportunities is a state-funded program that provides up to $4,625 per grade 7-12 student annually for dual-credit college courses, workforce training, certification exams, and AP/IB exams.

What It Supports:
- Dual-credit college courses (earn high school and college credit simultaneously)

Who It Serves: Public school students in grades 7-12 AND students at accredited private schools
Maximum Funding: $4,625 per student per year
Eligibility for Private/Homeschool Students:
- Private School Students: Eligible if enrolled in an accredited private school
- Homeschool Students: Eligible if enrolled in an accredited hybrid or online homeschool program
- Independent Homeschools: Students in completely independent parent-led homeschools (without accreditation) are not eligible
Availability: Available throughout the school year for grades 7–12
Renewal: Automatic; available each year the student is enrolled in eligible grades
Application Process: Through individual schools and post-secondary institutions. Contact your school’s counseling office for details on accessing Advanced Opportunities funding.

Combining with Other Programs: Can be combined with Parental Choice Tax Credit if expenses are distinct (e.g., Advanced Opportunities pays for dual-credit courses while tax credit covers private school tuition). Cannot claim tax credit for expenses already reimbursed by Idaho Advanced Opportunities.
