What are the program rules and requirements?
- Residency: Applicants must be residents of Mississippi.
- Educational Status: Students in grades K-6 or its equivalent (age 11 by September 1) with a primary IDEA eligibility of speech language impairment are eligible. The student must have been in a Mississippi public or approved, accredited non-public school.
- School Requirements: Families can use the funds at approved, accredited non-public schools that meet state standards.
- Other Mississippi Education Scholarships: If you receive a scholarship through the Mississippi Nate Rogers Speech Language Therapy Scholarship, you cannot participate in the Mississippi Equal Opportunity for Students with Special Needs Program or the Mississippi Scholarship for Students with Dyslexia.
