Beyond state-funded programs, Mississippi families can access private scholarships through several options.

ACE Scholarships (Private, Current)

Program Type: Private scholarship (not state-funded)

What It Offers: Need-based scholarships for low-income families to attend private schools

Eligibility

• Low-income families (income limits apply)
• Students entering grades K-12
• Family must demonstrate financial need

Application Timeline

• Opens: First Monday in February
• Closes: Tax Day (April 15) at 11:59 PM
• Award Decisions: Released in June
• Note: 2025-2026 applications have closed; next cycle begins February 2026

Application Process

1. Confirm income eligibility
2. Identify partner school that accepts ACE Scholarships
3. Complete school application and enrollment process
4. Complete ACE application with required documents (prior-year 1040, child support documentation, SNAP records, etc.)
5. Wait for award decision in June
