Nevada School Choice
While Nevada does not currently fund universal school choice programs with public dollars, it offers limited private-school scholarships through tax-incentivized donations. The state has previously explored more expansive educational choice legislation, but constitutional challenges and legislative opposition have hindered implementation.
Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program
The Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program provides privately funded scholarships for K-12 students to attend eligible private schools. Businesses receive tax credits for donations made to scholarship organizations, which then distribute awards to qualifying families. Participation is limited, and funding depends on the level of private sector contribution each year.
